The shift is not coming. It is structural, and it is already happening inside the most consequential decision-making rooms in the world. What is lagging behind is the governance conversation boards need to be having about it. 

According to a 2024 McKinsey Global Survey, 65% of organizations now report using generative AI regularly, nearly double the figure from just ten months prior. Boardroom adoption is accelerating faster than any other organizational tier.
