About Living Room

AI is transforming the workplace, yet women are adopting it at significantly lower rates than men.

This gap is concerning, especially as 70% of CEOs are investing heavily in generative AI to gain a competitive edge. If women do not engage more with AI, this disparity could widen the gender pay gap and limit leadership opportunities.

Without greater female adoption of AI, this gender gap risks perpetuating—and even widening—the gender pay gap and creating new barriers to leadership roles for women. This gender gap in AI adoption must improve—and HR is uniquely positioned to lead the way. Human resources can be a catalyst for learning, change management, and organizational culture, making AI more accessible to all. But first, HR professionals—75% of whom are women—must embrace AI themselves.
