Why this exists

Uplevyl is building a small, high-performing core team in India. Our belief is simple: fewer people, each with the output of several, working AI-first as a baseline. Every seat on this team has to raise the bar.

The Builder's Residency is how we find the people who belong on it. Three projects from our live roadmap, published openly, each with a fixed bounty. You apply with your resume and something you've built. If you're selected, you spend three months in our Delhi office building the project with the team, and you're paid the bounty when it ships.

We're not looking for someone to run a project and leave. We're looking for people who make the team stronger. The project is how we both find out.

Documentation before code

If it isn't written clearly, it doesn't get built.

We take messy, high-stakes domains and make them usable. That skill is the company.

Few people, high output

We'd rather be a small team of A-players than a large team of averages.

None of this is static. Laws change on their own legislative calendar. The underlying data is re-verified on that same cycle, not fixed at launch and left to drift out of date.

How selection works

Apply

Send your resume and something you've built. A live product, a repo, a campaign, a system. Your best proof.

Project thesis

Shortlisted candidates receive the full project brief and send us their approach: how you'd think about it, sequence it, and ship it.

Interview

A working conversation with the team about your thesis and your work.

Build

Selected builders join the residency: three months, Delhi office, inside the team. It ends with a final demo to the team and to Shubhi, and the bounty is paid on completion.

There's no fixed number of residents. We select on the bar, not a quota.

mission-driven partners to turn complex, high-stakes information into clear, trustworthy guidance, and to build the communities around it. We're purpose-led and tech-forward in equal measure, and we care about both.

Our flagship knowledge-layer work helps survivors of workplace violence understand their rights across 22,000+ US jurisdictions. Answers there have to be right, cited, and honest about what they don't cover. That bar shapes how we build everything else.

The platform runs on iOS, Android, and the web. Uplevyl was founded by Shubhi Rao, formerly VP and Treasurer at Alphabet/Google. The India team is the engine room.
